QA/QC Exec. work is
The MySQL DBA will be responsible for the administration of MySQL databases in InnoDB mode running on RHES / Suse Linux production/QA/dev environments.
Initial administration activities will include:
installation, configuration and monitoring.
optimization schemas, queries and indexes.
tuning, troubleshooting
backup, recovery and upgrades
quickly diagnose database and server problems and employ preventive measures to maintain high uptime of servers.
The DBA will have to work with PHP development team to design database architecture, etc. for applications that interact with MySQL.
MySQL DBA will be responsible for implementing a formal backup and recovery solution and process.
Once the production environment stabilises, the MySQL DBA will also be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting a formal High Availability (HA) and Redundant solution.
