National Power Training Institute (NPTI) Faridabad was established in the year 2000, but the old center at Neyveli was established in 1965. It is an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified organization and is a National Pivotal Body for Training and Human Resource Development in the Power Sector.
The Institute believes in dissemination of technical and management skills to augment the standard of trained man power in the power sector. The Institute has the aim of intermingling the technical expertise, managerial skills and state-of-the-art technology to generate power at par with the global standards. NPTI has centers in Durgapur, New Delhi, Bangalore, Guwahati, and Neyveli. NPTI has been instrumental in the setting up of the Center For Advanced Management in Power Studies providing courses in thermal and hydro electricity, Total Quality Management, power, finance management etc.
